Database Access:

From in school: no passwords needed
From home: you need passwords (on bookmark)

Search:

Use "Key Words" not Questions
Check off “full text”
Can you specify the kind of items you will find? (Some DBs have tabs)
- For example:
  - Primary Sources
  - Biographies

Tips:

Select “MLA Format” when printing / saving / emailing
Use the DB’s suggested terms and clusters/similar subjects/narrowing tools.
- Speak the database’s language!

Finding nothing?

Spelling error?
Search command may be too narrow (i.e., too specific)
Right database?
Try new search terms (check synonyms, etc.)
