• List URL (Web address) IF teacher asks; it must be a "live" link!

  • Titles are Capitalized
  • Main Titles are Italicized (like a Book, Database, Web site, Magazine, Newspaper title)
  • Article title are in “Quotation Marks” (like a web page, chapter title, article title, encyclopedia entry)
• Authors:
  • Last, First (Smith, Anne)
  • 2-3 Authors: Last, First, First Last, and First Last:
    • Smith, Sam, Ann Jones, and Max Hill.
  • 4+ Authors: first author followed by the phrase et al:
    • Smith, Sam, et al.
  • If no author is given, start with the title

• Dates:
  • Order: Day Month (abbreviated) Year: 10 Dec. 2000
  • If no date is given, use: n.d.
• Web publisher:
  • If no Web publisher is given, use: N.p.
  • Web publisher is the group/organization/person responsible for publishing the Web site, like:
    • WebMD, Cable News Network, ESPN, YouTube, Smithsonian Institution
    • May be same as Web site name...that is OK! You should still list it.
